Round Up 05/10/2013

 

PREMIER DIVISION

 

Spartak took full advantage of the top two teams, Yardley United and Delapre Old Boys not having a game to move to level second with a 7-0 hammering of Thorplands Club 81. Aaron Crampton was Spartaks four goal hero and he was well supported with singles from Harry Mundy, James Turner and Jonathan Byrne. Hardingstone went nap as they eased to a 5-1 victory over Falcon United thanks to a double strike from Johnny Dee and one a-piece from Martin Feasey, Martin Stones and Dale Walker which left Richie Collier to net Falcons retort

 

Northants F.A. Junior Cup, Rnd 1, 

 

After last weeks game was abandoned after 35 minutes with Harlequins winning 2-0, Desborough Town Reserves had a much stronger team this time and ran out 3-1 winners with Andy Condon finding the net for the Quins.

 

Northants F.A. Lower Junior Cup, Rnd 1, 

 

Sporting Bat & Wickets saw off their Northants Combination counterparts Higham Ferrers 3-1 courtesy of a well taken brace from Roman Radocha and a solo effort from Aaron Linnell. Duston Dynamo lost out to Wollaston Victoria by the odd goal in three with Alex-Joe De Boer scoring for Dynamo. JLB played host to Netherton United from the Peterborough & District League and went down 2-1 with Ross Burton netting their solitary goal.

 

John Henry Sports ‘Ball of the Month’

The John Henry Sports ‘Ball of the Month’ winners for September are Yardley United who scored an amazing 24goals in the month of September

 

 ‘MANAGER OF THE MONTH’ FOR SEPTEMBER

The Manager of the Month for September is David Brooms the manager of Delapre Old Boys who guided his team to four victories during the Month beating Spartak 3-0, Sporting Bat & Wickets 4-0, Falcons United 10-0 and Long Buckby Reserves 3-1.

PREMIER DIVISION

 

In a high scoring match JLB got the better of Thorplands Club 81 with a 7-5 score-line which moved them up to third place. The prolific Daniel Jennings led the scoring with a well taken hat-trick and was well supported with strikes from Ben Gale, Frank Mather, Wesley Prickett and Adam Pickergill. Thorplands replied through Nathan Garafalo, Uclid White and the ever green Paul Clark. Free scoring Yardley United continued to set the pace at the summit  with a 5-2 success over Liberty Stars with their goals evenly shared between Tom Burstan, Mark Kinder, William Youney, Dan Brockwell plus an own goal. Liberty’s strikes came via Samuel Ahrens and Lynval De Costa.   Duston Dynamo and Sporting Bat & Wickets fought out a 3-3 stale mate with Dustons goals coming from Ben Roddis, Alex-Joe De Boer and an own goal while Greg Barnard, Roman Radocha and Derrick Sanya all found the target for the pub men. In an entertaining end to end game Yusen Logistics and Falcons United couldn’t be separated as they drew 4-4. Luke Jeffries netted twice for Yusen to go with singles from Leon Betts and Matthew Mullen leaving Richie Collier 2, Courtney Robinson and Craig Townsend to net the Falcons retort.

 

Northants F.A. Junior Cup, Rnd 1, 

 

Delapre Old Boys eased into the next round with a 3-0 victory over United Counties League outfit Long Buckby Reserves thanks to a brace from Craig Cooper and a solo effort from Richard Slater. Hardingstone went out to Kettering Nomads losing 3-1 with Jonathan Lucas grabbing the Stones solitary goal. The Harlequins v Desborough Town Reserves tie was abandoned after 35 minutes after the Desborough goalkeeper was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg with the Quins leading 2-0. This match has been re-scheduled for next Saturday. Spartak made a fruitless journey to Welford Athletic going down 6-1 with an own goal all they had to show for their endeavours.

Liberty Success!

Liberty Stars fought back from 2-0 down to record a super 3-2 victory over JLB. A strike a-piece from Daniel Jennings and James Tyne put JLB in the driving seat but goals from Mathew Oluwatayo, Victor Agbonghale and Zondiwe Chunga was enough to see Liberty grab all three points. Yardley United continue to set the pace  at the summit following a 5-0 triumph over Sporting Bat & Wickets thanks to Charles Timms  who netted four times to go with a solo effort from Ian Dickson. Delapre Old Boys stayed hot on Yardley’s heels in second spot with a 10-0 hammering of Falcons United.  Craig Cooper netted a hat-trick with Sam Cooper hitting the target twice and Robbie Bushell, Martyn Fletcher, Gavin Hitchcock, Chris Kirby and John Slater scoring singles. Spartak got the better of Duston Dynamo by the odd goal in five, with Aaron Crampton helping himself to a brace and Thomas Brennan hitting one which left Josh McCullach and Ben Roddis to hit Dustons retort. Hardingstone discovered their scoring boots as they eased to a 6-0 success over Yusen Logistics courtesy of two each for Johnny Dee and Jonathan Lucas plus singles from Ryan Fowkes and the ever green Martin Stones. Harlequins condemned Thorplands Club 81 to a 4-2 defeat. Nathan Garafalo and Luke Kentish strikes gave Thorplands hope however a goal each from Blaine Blaney, Steffon Chambers, Ryan Charles-Commery and Aaron Myrie earned the Quins victory.

Thorplands Club 81 put last weeks 7-0 nightmare behind them in a much improved  performance as they held Duston Dynamo to a 2-2 draw. Goals from Nathan Garafala  and Alexander Bisoc accounted for Thorplands tally while Dynamo’s retort came with a Ben Roddis double strike . Delapre Old Boys eased to a 4-0 victory over Sporting Bat & Wickets with their goals being shared between Ashley Gale, Craig Cooper, Robbie Bushell and James Dean. In form Yardley United hit seven goals for the second week on the trot as they hammered Yusen Logistic 7-0. Paul Dempsey led the scoring for the villagers with a well taken hat-trick and was well supported by an Ian Dickson brace and one a-piece from Daniel Brothers and Nick Harding. Adam Moore netted the all important goal in  Spartaks very closely contested 1-0 triumph over Hardingstone. Harlequins returned to winning ways after last weeks reversal by beating  Falcons United 6-2 courtesy of two goals each for Andy Condon and Dean Self plus singles from Dan Healey and Josh Smith. Falcons 2 goal reply came via  Richie Collier.

 


Yardley hit Severn!

PREMIER DIVISION

 

Yardley United are the early leaders of the Town League after hammering severn past hapless Thorplands Club 81 without reply. Paul Dempsey went nap as he helped himself to five goals to go with one a-piece  from Ian Dickson and Daniel Scott. Reigning Champions Delapre Old Boys continued where they left off last season as they beat Spartak 3-0 courtesy of strikes from Robbie Bushell, James Dean and Gavin Hitchcock. Newcomers Falcon United were well beaten by Duston Dynamo

 5-0 . Jack MacCullock netted twice and was well supported with singles from Dan Parry, Dithanial Weston and Jack McLoughlin. Sporting Bat & Wickets hit some fine early season form with a 2-1 triumph over highly fancied Hardingstone. Sportings marksmen were James Church and Aaron Linnell while Hardingstones retort came via Martin Stones.  JLB eased to a 4-0 victory over last seasons runners- up Harleqins with their goals being shared between Colin Mowbray, Frank Maher, Daniel Jennings and Dominic  Clark.
