SPONSORSHIP EXTENDED TO END OF 2003-2004 SEASON |
Screwfix Direct Ltd has announced the extension of the company's sponsorship of the Western Football League for a further season, which will see the partnership maintained until at least season 2003 - 2004. Moving to the eighth season in a row that the Yeovil based company has supported the League, it becomes one of the longest lasting sponsorship deals in football. Announcing the extended deal Cliff Ashton, League Chairman, said " We are delighted that Screwfix Direct has offered this extension. Since we were first offered the backing their support has been second to none. As well as the very important cash, which enables us to distribute significant amounts to member clubs, Screwfix supports the monthly awards, the reception held at the Les Phillips Cup Final each season and provides other valuable assistance throughout the year." Ken Clarke, League General Secretary, added, "The new deal brings the overall value of Screwfix Direct's sponsorship to nearly £250,000, which, by any standard, is generous. It makes forward planning much easier and ensures that the Board of Directors of the League can plan for the future with confidence." Screwfix Direct is the UK's leading e-commerce and mail order supplier of low-cost high quality tools and fixings for the trade and DIY next day.
