The final Saturday of a successful inaurgural season for the UHLSPORT NSL saw teams playing for places and pride with both titles and runners- up slots already decided
Senior Division runners up and fifth placed sides Linby and Notts Police played out a goalless draw at Church Lane, whilst cup finalists and Notts Intermediate Cup winners Arnold Southbank continued their great season with a 3 - 1 win over Bestwood MW to cement fourth place. Boots Athletic and Clifton both leapfrogged Kimberley MW into sixth and seventh places respectively. Boots overcame bogey side Ruddington 6 - 3 thanks to a brace from Kev Forde plus singles from Wayne Miles, Jack Smith, Ben Wallace and Richard Jackson. Carl Wilson took his tally to thirty with two for Rudd for whom Jason Swann was also on target. Chris Waddley grabbed a hat trick for Clifton who won 4 - 1 at Magdala. Strike partner Craig Binch got the other and Dan Ellis fired 'Dala's consolation First Division winners Boots Reserves stretched their winning margin to nine points with a 2 - 1 over Ruddington Reserves although Robinson gave Rudd a half time lead. Chemists skipper Lee Stanley scored twice after the break to see them home and complete his season with thirty goals. Calverton Reserves held fourth placed Arnold Southbank Reserves to a 2 - 2 draw to warm up for their cup final on Tuesday and top scorers for the day were Keyworth Reserves who secured fifth place thanks to a 9 - 2 hammering of hapless Kimberley MW Reserves who conceded a total of 99 goals!
