Referees Guide |
1. Shin Pads. To be worn by all players. Please check before kick off. 2. Back Pass Rule. Back Pass Rule applies to Mini Soccer and the League. Please try to inform and educate the children before and during game. Please note the goalkeeper cannot pick the ball up direct from his own teams throw in. 3. Throw In Rule. Both feet must be on the floor during the taking of the throw in and on/or behind the touch line. Educate children by allowing throw ins to be taken again without penalty at younger age levels. Children at the higher age levels should get one chance. Please ensure all players and managers are aware of this prior to the match commencing. 4. Ball Out Rule. The whole of the ball must cross the line before the ball is out of play. 5. Additional Time. Try to inform Manager of injury time to be played at a suitable moment close to the conclusion of each half. 6. Free Kicks. All free kicks are direct, including kick off and goal kicks. This means goals can be scored without anybody touching the ball. Please note a goal cannot be scored direct from a throw in. 7. Injuries. The game to be stopped immediately the referee is aware of any injured players. 8. Team Size. Please confirm the number of players on the pitch is 6 and the maximum in a squad is 12 team 9. Ref has full authority of match. 10. If a serious offence occurs, request player to be substituted. 11. Check ball size, size 3 for games involing Under 7s and 8s and size 4 for under 9s matches. Please have two balls available. 12. 15 minutes each way. 13. Players need to be 5 yards away for kick off, free kicks, goal kicks and corners. |
