Please note that the following teams have been withdrawn from the league. Queens Park Rangers Under 14, Buntingford Cougars Under 15 and Garston Purples Under 12 (Div 2). In accordance with Rule 12B their playing records have been expunged. |
| League Cup Competition News |
|
The draws for the League Cup competitions were made at the Management Committee meeting on 8th November 2004. The League Cup competitions in the Under 10,11,14 and 15 age groups will be run on a knockout basis. If scores are level at the end of normal time a period of extra time will be played and if scores are still level the tie is to be decided by the taking of penalty kicks in accordance with FIFA rules. Please ensure kick off times are scheduled to allow for this eventuality. There will be 4 ties and 4 byes in the Under 10 age group, 8 ties and 8 byes in the Under 11 age group and 5 ties and 3 byes in the Under 15 age group. Details can of the ties can be found by clicking on the relevant heading and those without ties are awarded a bye. The Under 12 and Under 13 competitions will both be run on a league basis with the clubs divided into four groups. The fixtures of those competitions run on a league basis are scheduled to a pre set program which cannot be altered. If this causes your club difficulty with hosting a match please either attempt to find an alternative venue or home advantage may be conceded with the agreement of both your opponents and the League Fixture Secretary. Any fixtures that are not fulfilled will be treated in accordance with League rules and the defaulting club may also in addition and in certain circumstances be required to fulfil the original fixture. Three points will be awarded for a win, one for a draw and nil for a loss. The top two teams in each group will progress to the knockout stage with league positions decided as follows:- 1. Total points 2. If level on points, result between the two teams 3. If still level, goal difference 4. If still level, goals scored Please note that if 2 decides positions it will not initially be shown as such on this site. If time permits there will be a knockout Plate competition in both age groups for those teams eliminated from the initial group stages providing that they have fully completed their group program. Those who fail to fulfil any scheduled fixtures will not be invited to compete in this competition. |
