ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING LEAGUE ENTRIES ETC.
Please note that due to the resignation of the General Secretary, could all Clubs make sure that they send their League entries before 1st May 2008 to the Treasurer, Mrs Julie Smith, 19 Jellicoe Close, Poole, Dorset, BH14 0PX, with the appropriate fees.  All other correspondence should be relayed to the Chairman, Mr. Phil Basford at 32  Louise Road, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 2LU, telephone 01305 269711 or his email address is philipbasford@aol.com.
LEAGUE VACANCIES
Due to the recent resignation of the General Secretary and the forthcoming standing down of the Chairman, the afore-mentioned posts are or will become vacant at the AGM in July.  If anyone has any nominations please could you send them via email to the present Chairman at philipbasford@aol.com and send a copy to the Treasurer  at julie.smith370@ntlworld.com .  As a League we are also looking for League Representatives and one or two League Secretaries.  The only vacancies which are not  paid ones are  the Chairman and League Representatives (mileage allowance only) however the General Secretary and League Secretaries all receive annual honoraria.  All nominations should be received prior to the 1st May 2008.

WOULD ALL MANAGERS PLEASE NOTE

15 MINUTES PRIOR TO KICK OFF A LIST OF PLAYERS WHO WILL BE PLAYING WITH SHIRT NUMBERS  AND PLAYER REGISTRATION CARDS SHOULD BE EXCHANGED WITH THE OPPOSITION MANAGER. THE PLAYERS SHOULD THEN BE LINED UP AROUND THE  CENTRE CIRCLE WITH BOTH MANAGERS AND THE REFEREE PRESENT TO BE WITNESS AND CARDS THEN THOROUGHLY CHECKED. 

 MANY TEAMS ARE NOT EVEN CHECKING CARDS AND TICKING THE BOXES ON THE TEAMS SHEETS TO SAY THEY HAVE.  THIS HAS LEAD TO CLUBS BEING FINED HEAVILY FOR PLAYING UNREGISTERED PLAYERS.  IF A TEAM MANAGER HAS TICKED TO SAY HE HAS CHECKED THE CARDS AND IT THEN COMES TO LIGHT  AT A LATER DATE THAT AN UNREGISTERED PLAYER WAS PLAYED THEN YOU WILL ALSO INCUR A FINE AS PER RULES (FOR FALSIFYING A TEAM SHEET RULE 11C)


Completing a Team Sheet

Would all Managers please note that a Team Sheet must be submitted for every game played and should arrive at your League Secretarys address within 3 days of the match.  The following must be completed:

The teams full names should be filled in at the start of the form together with the scores. All players names should be in full i.e. ANDREW WHITE not A. White, the goal scorers should be marked with either an X for one goal or the number for more than one against the player who scores.  The Referees name should be inserted by the Home team Manager and any fee (if applicable).  A mark for the referee should be inserted together with a mark for the opposition Manager (note that these marks are out of 10 not 100).  The part where you exchange cards and player lists should be completed and the record to date at the bottom must be filled in.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE  that Team Sheets have not been arriving to League Secretary's on time.  They must be with the League Secretary'swithin 3 days of the date on which the match was played - Clubs failing to comply with this rule shall incur a fine as shown in the financial appendix (Rule 11a).

County Cup Team Sheets however must be sent to Dorset County FA at Blandford Close, Hamworthy, not your League Secretary. 

 


Application by clubs for admission to the league

Please Note Application by Clubs for admission to the Dorset Youth League must be made in writing to the General Secretary (Miss Kerry Watts, 46 Marie Road, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 2LF) by the 1st May in each year and must be accompanied by an application or entrance fee as shown in the Financial Appendix of the Official Handbook, which shall be returned in the event of non-election. The current fee is £75 per team.
