GOLDEN JUBILEE BOOK |
Former Dorset Combination League player and referee, Sandy Powell, is compiling a book detailing the history of the Dorset Premier Football League (formerly the Dorset Combination League), which he hopes to complete in time for the 50th anniversary of the League in 2007. Sandy is hoping that former Club Officials, Players and Match Officials will come forward with information which can be included in the publication. He would be grateful to receive any information no matter how small. He is particularly looking for copies of the League Handbook for seasons 1957/8, 1958/9, 1959/60, 1963/4, 1970/1, 1974/5 and 1976/7. In the book Sandy hopes to include full League results for each season, full League Cup results with details of Cup Final Referees. It is also hoped that the book will include a potted history of all past and present member Clubs. Should you have any information, or would be willing to assist Sandy in his research, he can be contacted by writing to 103 Dorchester Road, Oakdale, Poole, Dorset BH15 3QZ, or telephoning 01202 679536. He can also be contacted via email on sandy@powell485.freeserve.co.uk |
