NEW FORMAT FOR CHILTERN JUNIOR 7’s | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In response to the changing requirements of local Youth Football Clubs the Chiltern Junior 7’s is to trial a new format for the Girls Under 14 and Boys Under 11 sections for next season 2009-10.
Both sections will be played on a 9 or 11 a side format. Teams can register between 9 & 18 players and play either 9 or 11 a side as agreed between the teams at the time of confirmation of the match. Eleven a side will be played if both teams agree to do so, however if one or both teams require to play 9 a side then the match will be played accordingly.
Matches will be played on an 11 a side junior size pitch according to the Laws of the game for regular 11 a side football. Off side WILL apply, and unlimited substitutions allowed. Home teams will still be required to provide the match referee and both teams an assistant referee (linesman).
There has been a move away from mini soccer and towards 11 a side for these two sections over the past few years, we hope this will give a local alternative to Clubs and also provide an option for teams who struggle to increase or maintain their squad size at a level for a full season of 11 a side football. We hope you will all work with us to make this a success and a long term option.
All other sections will continue in the current 7 a side format. Notification of this exciting development will be sent to Club Secretaries by post. |

Important Reminders | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Remember; you must carry your I.D. cards at all matches and hand them to your opposition or a League Officer upon request for inspection. The home team must phone the match result in to 01582 658807 or text to 07896 032287 by 4pm each Saturday. Under 8 home & away teams must phone in sportsmansip marks out of 10. You must inform the Fixture Secretary of any fixture changes or postponements as soon as you are aware of them, again on 01582 658807. YOU MUST INFORM THE FIXTURE SECRETARY OF THE RE-ARRANGED DATE FOR ANY POSTPONED MATCH WITHIN 14 DAYS, OR A NEW DATE WILL BE SCHEDULED BY THE LEAGUE, IN WHICH CASE THE MATCH MUST BE PLAYED ON THIS DATE. IT REMAINS THE CLUBS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEBSITE FOR THE NEW DATE, OR CONTACT THE FIXTURE SECRETARY FOR SUCH INFORMATION. Only postpone matches if it is completely unavoidable, not because your top scorer is at his grannies. The home team must confirm the particulars of the match with the opposition by the Monday evening preceding the match. Ensure your players, Parents & team officials behave in a manner that is a credit to your Club & our League at all times. Follow these simple guidelines and you will save your Club a lot of money in fines, and we will all have an enjoyable, stress free season. |
