The Final weekends action in The McGirls Money Management Premier Division saw newly crowned champions Caldecote extend their unbeaten run to twenty-two games with a 4-1 home victory over Sandy thanks to goals from Tom Wallace, Matt Basta, Bradley Harrison and Leeroy Odd to a lone reply from Gary Fil having in mid-week booked their finals spot in The Biggleswade KO Cup with a 4-0 Semi-Final away win at Wilshamstead thanks to a brace of goals from Matt Basta and Leeroy Odd. The runners-up spot will become a subject for this weeks Management committee after Blunham home game with Dunton was abandoned sixteen minutes from time with Blunham leading 5-1 after a hattrick from Mark Davidson and strikes from Chris Dunne and Dave Trundley, but even allowing for this result not to stand Ickwell & Old Warden still trail Blunham on goal difference in third spot despite their last day 4-1 away win at Bedford SA where Andrew Vallom netted all four goals. AFC Kempston Town ensured they finished the season in fourth spot after winning 4-1 at home against Oakley Sports with strikes from Tom Pitts, James Snowden, Andy Smith and Alex Russell to a Sportsmens goal from Ricky Issaac, leaving Campton in fifth place after they finished the league programme with a 4-0 home win over Riseley Sports with goals from Gary Gibson (2) Jake Goodship and Andrew Hayday. Elsewhere with Sandy losing at Caldecote, Turvey despite losing at home to bottom club Westoning Rescreation 3-4 remain out of the bottom two and Wilshamstead ended their season on a high note with a 4-3 away win at Three Horseshoes Renhold, with goals from Michael Jones(.2) Paul Jones and James Mason to replies from Damion Quighley(2) and Paul Beattie Then in time honoured fashion Bank Holiday Monday brought the curtain down on another season with playing of The Britannia Cup final before a crowd of 240 which saw Caldecote complete a league and cup double with a 3-0 win over Campton with two goals from Matt Basta and a strike by Bradley Harrison. The other main action of the weekend centred around the various other league cup finals which brought about league and cup doubles for three clubs, in The Centenary Cup a extra time penalty from Gary Horner earned He-0nlow a 2-1 win over Corinthians who had taken a first half lead with a goal from Justin Patterson until Graham Leger cancelled this out five minutes into the second half, while in The Jubilee Cup Final , Marston Social claimed their seasons double with a 2-0 win over Biggleswade Athletic with second half goals from Steve Marsh and John Wright but for Caldecote Reserves in The Watson Shield it was far from easy sailing as AFC Kempston Town Reserves build up a 2-0 lead with strikes from Gary Clarke and Tony Milloti before a brace from Carl Horsfall took the game eventual to a penalty shoot-out where Caldecote prevailed 4-2. In Division One, all the main action and drama came at the bottom of the table, with Meppershall Jurassic lifting themselves from the bottom of the pile out of the drop zone with three points inside twenty-four hours on Friday evening they drew 0-0 at home against Stevington then went and won 1-0 at Campton Reserves on Saturday thanks to a goal from John Wilds, this result dropping Campton Reserves to bottom spot below Denbigh Hall S&S Bletchley who stay above them by virture of having netted more goals despite a last day 3-0 defeat at Woburn for whom Nick Skolsky, Andy Ripley and Ben Nicholls were the marksmen, the other game in this section bringing a 2-1 home win for second place Sharnbrook over Stevington with two goals from Andy Woods. Their was just one game in Division Two where second place Blunham Village ended the season with a 5-0 away win at Sugar Loaf Meppershall with goals from Steve Carter (2) Carl Townsend, Daniel Avis and Andrew Murray. Whilst the Associate Division One season closed with Riseley Sports Reserves netting only their second win of the season 7-5 at home against Woburn Reserves and second from bottom Wilshamstead Reserves were 3-2 home winners over Westoning Recreation Club Reserves with goals from Paul Zeltobruhov (2) and David Benson to a brace in reply from Eric Van Der Ven plus the local derby went the way of Blunham Reserves 6-3 home victors over Ickwell & Old Warden Reserves with goals from Andy Kirton (2) Jason Rainbow (2) Zak Henry and Eric McIntrye.
