Division One East
Norton Sports 0 Bromley Green 2
Monday, 03 May 2004
At a rain swept Norton Park, the home sides Harry Goodger hit the post in the first minute and his side controlled the first quarter of the game. Two more missed half -chances meant that the first half remained goalless, but it was the visitors who took the lead when Norton defender Mark Clements was harshly adjudged to have handled after 55 minutes, and Glen Mackett scored from the spot. Norton pressed for the equaliser but the Champions elect defence held firm and fifteen minutes later Norton goalkeeper James Creed unfortunately slipped in the slippery conditions gifting Bromley Green's Lee McRobert with an open goal from the edge of the box to secure his sides tenth away win this season and the treble over Norton. Unless miracles occur in Bromley Green's final two games, Norton, hardly ever out of the top three all season will have to be content with the runners up spot in Division One for this campaign.
