These two improving sides shared the spoils at Alfred Street.
Liam Craig-Boucher's opener for the Romans on the quarter hour from a low cross was cancelled out by Liam Tunstall's 39th minute spot kick awarded for handball.
Sleaford defender Paul Ward had a header cleared off the line following a corner.
A home win looked on the cards when Irchester regained the lead through Jake Gillingwater after a breakaway on 85 minutes, but two minutes later Tunstall scored a second Sleaford equaliser from Michael Musson's flick on.
