Table topping Town now boast the Premier Division's only unbeaten record and are still to concede a goal in nine hours of league football after this derby victory.

Buckby were closest to a first half goal but Jon Crockett was thwarted by Paul Saunders' goalline clearance.

Leading scorer Tom Berwick made the breakthrough with a stunning free kick for Daventry after 65 minutes and Neil Lazarus confirmed their win with a scrambled second goal ten minutes from the end.
