Holbeach United 5 Long Buckby 1
Saturday, 18 August 2012
Buckby's new look side found themselves on the wrong end of a drubbing in Lincolnshire.
Loan star Sam Mulready got the Tigers off the mark with the first goal of the Premier season after just 25 seconds, lobbing the ball over stranded keeper Shaun Allen.
The rampant Tigers doubled their lead through Mulready's header on 19 minutes, and Robbie Harris put his name with a clever finish on the scoreshert after 28 minutes.
Danny Rogers replied with a penalty for Buckby after 35 minutes, but an immediate home response saw Tommy Treacher restore Holbeach's three goal margin, heading in after a Jamie Stevens header came back off the post.
Andy Tidswell completed the home tally three minutes into the second half. It was a classy goal with the front man flicking the ball over a defender and rounding Allen to slot home.
