Adderbury Park 6 Charlton 2
Saturday, 17 November 2012
Adderbury: Neil Skidmore (3), James Trevitt, Lewis Moore, OG
Charlton: Callum Cooper, Paul O’Neil
Both sides started the game at a good pace, and it wasn’t until 25 minutes into the game that James Trevitt, for the home team, opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Adderbury doubled their score 10 minutes later when a back pass from a Charlton player went horribly wrong and rolled unmolested into the visitors’ net. Charlton stepped up the pressure, and when they were awarded a free kick just outside the Adderbury penalty area right at the end of the first half, Callum Cooper scored for Charlton with a neat header. Half time 2-1.
Adderbury started the second half well, and on 13 minutes some accurate passing put Lewis Moore through on goal, and he finished well to restore a two goal lead for the home team. A few minutes later a shot from James Trevitt was parried by Charlton goalkeeper Terry Bagnall, but Neil Skidmore picked up the loose ball and made no mistake in netting Adderbury’s fourth goal. Not five minutes later Neil Skidmore cleverly lobbed the ball over the Charlton ‘keeper to add his second goal. Skidmore was not to be denied his hat-trick and added his third goal of the game on 40 minutes. Charlton scored their second goal through Paul O’Neil in the final few minutes of the game, but Adderbury Park were to record a comfortable victory.
