Bourne Town  2    Newport Pagnell Town  7

Saturday, 01 May 2010

The Wakes were stunned by an impressive display of firepower from visiting Newport.

Richard Armstrong opened the scoring five minutes in before Rob Macdonald abd  Daren Dykes chipped in after fifteen and seventeen minutes respectively.

Dykes scored Newport's fourth after 39 minutes with Tom Hill adding a fifth three minutes later.

Three half time changes made Bourne more competitive in the second half.

It needed a Dean Buss own goal to get the Wakes off the mark on 46 minutes.

Darren Lynch made his usual appearance on the scoresheet on the hour.

Home manager Martyn Lakin's ankle injury forced him out of action with Keith Gray donning the gloves.

Dykes completed his hat trick after 74 minutes before Adam Jackson scored a Bourne consolation from the spot a minute later.
