Long Buckby  1    St Neots Town  2

Saturday, 11 March 2006

A spirited display by the Bucks went unrewarded as the Saints extended their unbeaten run to seven matches. The home side had the better of the first half and took a 40th minute lead through recent recruit Danny Wright who converted an Andy Gordon cross. Buckby were punished for a lack of concentration in the dying seconds of the half though as Nicky Hurst was left unmarked at a Matt Endersby corner to score. Just past the hour the Bucks were awarded a penalty after Saints defender Gary Watts was red carded for handball, only for Louis Pilgrim to strike the post with the spot kick. St Neots won it when James Hatch converted a Matt Endersby free kick twelve minutes from time.
