Monday, 05 April 2010

Title chasing Town turned on the style to demolish their mid table neighbours at Communications Park.

United took a shock early lead, Robert Crinigan scoring ten minutes in with a header from a Joel Young cross.

Two minutes later Josh Blake equalised via the underside of the bar following Lee Farrow's poor clearance and Ryan Howell gave the home side the lead after nineteen minutes, heading in Josh O'Grady's centre.

With the contest little more than a quarter over the outcome was in little double as Russ Dunkley netted after 22 minutes from another O'Grady cross with Howell scoring his second from the penalty spot a minute later.

Howell completed his hat trick four minutes before the hour, turning in a Paul Lamb free kick.

A Paul Saunders headed own goal after 72 minutes gave United their second.

Tom James completed the Town tally with a shot from outside the box four minutes from the end.
