St Ives Town  1    St Neots Town  1

Monday, 05 April 2010

An injury time equaliser inflicted a potentially fatal blow to St Neots' title prospects.

The morning leaders took a seventh minute lead when Dan French's pass found Lewis Webb whose 25 yard effort squirmed under home keeper Gavin Armitage. Before the break Armitage made the save of the match from Dan Jacob to keep his side in the game.

The introduction of Conor Washington livened up the home side as an attacking force but Liam Harrold wasted a couple of chances to settle issue.

St Neots looked set to claim bragging rights as well as three vital points but five minutes into added time a Louie Evans free kick was converted by Dan Newman's glancing header at the far post.

St Ives: Gavin Armitage, Dan Newman, Tim Quy (Jon Hall), Nicky Hurst (Leon Schwier), Will Fordham, Matt Bannister, Dan Moyes (Conor Washington), Jamie Blackwell, Louie Evans, Ozie Foster, Declan Rogers.

St Neots: Luke McShane, Matt Haniver, Michael Hyem, Lewis Webb, Glen Fuff, Adam Jones, James Peagram (Luke Knight), Rob Hughes, Liam Harrold, Dan Jacob (Jon Mitchell), Danny French.
