Potton United  1    Eynesbury Rovers  2

Tuesday, 30 March 2010

This derby success moved Rovers to within a point of the Division One pace.

The game provided end to end football from the off with Eynesbury going closest to a first half goal with a Neil Morris shot which skimmed the crossbar.

Lewis Healiss did find the Rovers net but was adjudged offside.

After a scoreless first half Eynesbury broke the deadlock ten minutes into the second half through Dave Fisk who fired home from the edge of the box after aaron Loney punched out a Joe Jordan cross from the left.

A second goal from Darren Blackall after 72 minutes sealed the visitors' success, the substitute chipping in after Jordan laid the ball off from a Fisk cross.

Graham Tibbals replied for the Royals with eight minutes remaining, netting at the second attempt after Ben Houseago saved his initial shot.

In added time Dean Hamilton was inches away from a Potton equaliser.
