Saturday, 27 March 2010

The Poachers picked up their first win in seven games as the Swans suffered another Tattershall Road reverse.

darren Lynch could have given Newport an earlylead but his shot was half saved by Boston keeper Nick Conroy and Matt Price was able to complete the clearance.

Left wing build up play from Matt Kennedy and Price enabled Liam Ogden to tee up Laszlo Lovas's 29th minute opener for the Poachers and their win was sealed by top scorer Jon Rowan's 73rd minute penalty, awarded for Swan's keeper James Howarth's foul on Ogden. Howarth was red carded leaving Lynch to face the spot kick unsuccessfully.
