Desborough Town  1    St Neots Town  4

Saturday, 20 March 2010

Desborough's four match unbeaten run was left in tatters as St Neots opened up a five point lead at the top of the Premier table.

Rob Hughes broke the deadlock for St Neots after forty minutes, firing home a left foot shot after Lewis Webb won possession, but a Dan Kitching penalty awarded for an Adam Jones foul on Darren Wheeler two minutes later left Ar Tarn on level terms at the break.

Shane Wyllie put St Neots back in front after 56 minutes, heading home a Hughes cross.

Further goals from Jones who slotted in the loose ball after Tom Smith parried a Hughes free kick three minutes past the hour mark and top marksman Liam Harrold who collected a DannyFrench to slip the last defender after 68 wrapped up the leaders' victory.

The only blemish for St Neots was the dismissal of Hughes after 72 minutes.
