Holbeach United  2    Sleaford Town  2

Saturday, 20 March 2010

Miles Hunter broke Jamie Shaw's Sleaford record for goalscoring in a season but it wasn't enough to secure a derby win for Town at Carters Park.

Hunter's 44th goal in all competitions, set up by Ryan Oliver, put Sleaford ahead after 31 minutes and number 45 followed in the final minute of the first half as the striker smashed home a loose ball.

The Tigers fought back after the interval.

Jon Fairweather reduced the arrears with a towering header from a corner after 51 minutes and top scorer Liam Nimmo levelled two minutes later, converting a Craig Parker cross  for Holbeach.

Nimmo, Matt Warfeld and Shaun Keeble missed chances to turn one point into three for the Tigers.

Holbeach had Mark Thompson dismissed for bringing down Hunter late on, with Gary Walters' free kick rebounding to safety off the post.
