Two first half goals sent the Motormen crashing to a sixth consecutive league reverse.

Michael Byrne made it two goals in two games since returning from Stamford with a 20th minute Foundrymen opener, latching onto a long ball and slotting home while the visiting defence appealed for offside..

Mark Forbes increased S&L's advantage on the half hour, firing home a 20 yard free kick.

All United could manage in reply was a 52nd minute debut goal from Jouell Potter, the newcomer netting with a 30 yard chip.

Joel Young struck the crossbar for the Motormen and then forced a full length save from Richard Lavin in the home goal.
