Burton Park Wanderers 4 Huntingdon Town 3
Saturday, 20 March 2010
A stunning second half comeback gave Park Wanderers their first win of the season.
Kevin Fox saw his new charges struggle in the first half.
Goals from Jamie Graham three minutes in and Stuart Eason after eleven minutes gave Huntingdon a great start.
When goalkeeper Liam Fox could only fumble Josh Crick's effort into his own net to hand the visitors a third on the half hour another defeat beckoned for Burton.
Curtis Taylor-Jacob kicked off the fightback four minutes into the second half.
A turning point came when Huntingdon's Scott Beeny went down under home keeper Liam Fox's challenge and Town spot kick appeals were turned down.
The deficit was reduced further on the hour by the returning Hassan Mumin who tapped in after Anthony Petty spilled a shot.
With a quarter of an hour remaining Pete Callan squared the contest from the penalty spot after a foul by Petty and Burton won it in the final minute through Simon Mitchell's fine solo effort.
A lengthy period of stoppage time saw Josh Crick hit the post for Huntingdon.
