St Neots Town  4    Blackstones  0

Tuesday, 16 March 2010

This win regained top slot for St Neots whose cutting edge in front of goal gave them an ultimately emphatic win.

A quick counter attach saw the home side take an 18th minute lead. Chris Hyem's ball inside the full back sent the pacy Shane Wyllie away on the right and his cross was swept in by one time Stone Liam Harrold.

Carl Bird almost levelled with a looping header from a Jon Stead centre three minutes after the break.

St Neots' second was a mirror image of the opener with Dan Jacob the provider from the left this time, Harrold again timing his run to slot home in the centre.

A fine run by Danny Barker ended with a shot that clipped the home crossbar.

The win was sealed after 77 minutes, Jacob converting a cross from substitute Jon Mitchell via the inside of the post.

James Peagram completed the scoring four minutes into added time, tapping in after Ian Flavell in the visiting goal mishandled a cross from the overlapping Geraint Price.
