The Swans reached their third successive final with this high scoring win.

Darren Lynch gave the home side an early grip on proceedings with a hat trick in the space of eight minutes.

It took just four minutes for the experienced marksman to open his account with a shot into the top left hand corner from just inside the box, and he followed up with further goals after eight minutes, a tap in, and twelve minutes, rounding the keeper to score from a difficult angle.

Sandhurst responded with goals from Michael Murphy, a penalty after 26 minutes and James Mepham, a free kick seven minutes later.

A breathless first half ended with Richard Armstrong heading a fourth Swans goal after 44 minutes.

Mepham kept Sandhurst in the hunt with a well struck second goal three minutes past the hour, but Newport clinched their final place two minutes from time through Darren Dykes who lobbed the advancing keeper.
