Tuesday, 26 January 2010

These two sides proved well matched in a thrilling encounter at Lincoln Road.

Miles Hunter gave Sleaford the lead four minutes in with a low drive, only for Kevin Ainslie to level for Stones direct from a corner after 24 minutes.

Hunter scored a 34th minute second for the visitors who went further ahead five minutes into the second half through Paul Ward.

Jon Stead's 52nd minute penalty after he was fouled sparked a Stones comeback.

Adam Scotcher hauled the home side on terms after 65 minutes but four minutes later Hunter completed his hat trick from the penalty spot to restore Sleaford's advantage. Mark Jones salvaged a point for Stones with the final leveller with nineteen minutes to play.
