Kempston's mini revival came to an end at Lincoln Road as Stones returned to winning ways.
Phil Stebbing was denied an early opener by a combination of Walnut Boys keeper Chris Williscroft and defender Paul Teague and from the resulting Kevin Ainslie corner Steve Kuhne headed over.
Kempston skipper Neil Chance came forward to shoot narrowly wide in a rare visiting attack while Kuhne had the ball in the visiting net only for handball to be given.
Williscroft made a full stretch stop from Dan Cotton before Stones made the breakthrough after 39 minutes. Andy Boome's through ball played Ainslie in on the left and the wide man slipped the ball under the advancing keeper.
Blackstones went further in front in first half stoppage time. Cotton's free kick was headed clear but Boome latched onto the loose ball to fire home from25 yards.
The outcome was settled three minutes after the break when Ainslie's cross from the left picked out Liam Harrold to head home at the far post.
Substitute Ian Asplin blazed over when well placed for Kempston, and Stones completed their tally after 71 minutes when Richard Jones headed in a Cotton corner.
