Sleaford Town  0    Daventry United  2

Saturday, 23 January 2010

Joel Young was the Motormen party pooper as United spoiled Sleaford goalkeeper Andrew Scott's 400th appearance for Town.

Jamie McCormack hit the woodwork for Sleaford in the first half.

After a scoreless first half Young intercepted Simon Bolland's misplaced pass and outpaced the home defence to break the deadlock after 50 minutes.

With ten minutes remaining the crossbar denied Miles Hunter an equaliser and Daventry's win was sealed by a second Young goal from close range three minutes from time after the home defence failed to clear a free kick.
