Desborough Town  1    Cogenhoe United  3

Saturday, 24 December 2005

Exciting strike prospect Steve Diggin claimed his second Cogenhoe hat trick to leave Desborough four points adrift of safety at Christmas. Diggin fired the champions into a tenth minute lead before Michael Byrne headed over for Ar Tarn. Diggin added a second ten minutes before the interval, punishing a defensive mistake. A 63rd minute penalty from Pete Sneddon gave Ar Tarn a glimmer of hope but their defeat was confirmed by a penalty at the other end five minutes from time, Diggin converting from the spot to complete his matchwinning performance.
