Woodford United  2    Raunds Town  2

Thursday, 22 December 2005

Predictably these two promotion aspirants shared the spoils at Byfield Road. The Shopmates moved into the top three of the table but will be disappointed at twice being pegged back as the Reds extended their unbeaten run to ten games. Raunds led at the interval with a 27th minute Ryan Nash strike, but Woodford responded with Russ Dunkley levelling after 46 minutes. Ten minutes later Simeon Jackson restored the Shopmates' advantage but parity was again restored by Carl Standen a quarter of an hour from time.
