Boston Town  1    Raunds Town  1

Saturday, 17 December 2005

Second placed Boston missed the chance to capitalise on leaders Potton's inactivity as they could only share the spoils with title outsiders Raunds. The Shopmates had the better of the first half only for Boston to go closest to a goal just before the break when Paul Goodhand's shot was cleared off the line by Les Hornby. The home side improved after the interval with Micky Nuttell forcing Raunds custodian Michael Freeman to tip onto the bar and Gary Bull clipping the woodwork from Nuttell's through pass. Shaun Baker gave the Poachers a 72nd minute lead with a near post header from Matt Price's corner but two minutes later the Shopmates were on terms through Adam Hancock who was first to the rebound after Adam Bridgeford's shot bounced back into play off the crossbar. Raunds took over the proceedings late on but had to settle for a point.
