Newport lost at Carters Park for the fourth season running as a single goal gave Holbeach only their second victory in seven matches. Goalkeeper Kevin Cross saved from Newport's Elliott O'Reilly before instigating a speedy counter attack which set up an 18th minute strike from veteran Paul Langford which gave the Tigers all three points. Newport were closest to another goal when Richard Armstrong struck the Tigers crossbar.
