Lynn left it late to snatch victory against nine man Star who had Ali Nyang and Liam Hook red carded.
The visitors, out to amend from a recent League Knockout Cup drubbing at The Walks, took a 21st minute lead through Avelino Vieira who latched onto Luke McShane's long clearance and outpaced a defender before rounding Alex Street to slot home.
After the break Lynn pressure intensified and Stuart Wall's header from a corner was cleared off the line.
Liam Hook was sent off for a second yellow card after 57 minutes.
Jason Turner's 33rd goal of the season, a penalty on the hour, awarded for a foul on Jack Defty by Richard Jones, squared the contest.
Lynn pressed for a winner and Ross Watson crashed a header against the crossbar.
With a couple of minutes to play Ali Nyang departed following a second yellow card.
Four minutes into time added Robbie Harris broke the nine men's resistance with the decisive goal which earned Lynn an eighth successive win. Substitute Harris turned the ball in to end a scramble which had seen Turner thwarted by the frame of the goal.
