Conor Washington's match winning brace took his season's tally to 31 goals and earned St Ives a win that strengthened their grip on a top three place.
Washington's 35th minute lob had the Saints in front at the break.
Ben Good levelled for the Tulips after 58 minutes, heading in a Max Wright centre, but within sixty seconds Washimgton struck again with a decisive second goal, scoring at the second attempt after Nick Conroy had saved his initial effort.
