MCFL Saturday Division One (East & Central)
Apollo London 3 Westminster & Kensington 0
Saturday, 21 September 2024
Good Afternoon, Antonis,
As you can imagine I have spent a rather amount of time going through various emails through the various league mailboxes. I have gone through footage and social media from your games and I have been in contact with the County FA.
So you understand the process any breaches of league rules are referred to me as the league discipline secretary, I solely decide on a punishment if applicable.
Firstly, to avoid any issues at your next game, I have attached a document titled - Apollo London Players. This has all your players on it, the ones with the words "Registered" are the only ones currently able to play for your team. Do not play any of the other players at present as we have not confirmed their registration as we are awaiting International Clearance. You will note I have registered a few players that had been missed and I have updated team sheets and goal scorers appropriately.
You have 24 players registered and 13 unregistered, if any of those 13 players can be registered then please forward on what we are missing, you will see when you log in to mitoo they have notes next to their name. As far as I am concerned, we do not have the appropriate paperwork to register them.
I will list them in more details but the league will be charging you with playing an ineligible player in both the games below.
Apollo London v Hackney Wick - Saturday 14th September 2024
DODA and BINIAKU - we have received there ID and Registration form but have not received International Clearance, you have said in a previous email you didn't think they required IC but you submitted anyway as per the attached screenshots, you will note it specifically says on the screenshots this player cannot play till clearance has been received. I have attached the images of the International Clearance email for both players and highlighted the relevant part.
This match will be awarded to Hackney Wick
This charge also come with a fine inline with the fines tariff = Playing an Ineligible Player 18 M £100
Apollo London v Westminster & Kensington - Saturday 21st September 2024
BINIAKU - we have received there ID and Registration form but have not received International Clearance, you have said in a previous email you didn't think they required IC but you submitted anyway as per the attached screenshots, you will note it specifically says on the screenshots this player cannot play till clearance has been received. I have attached the images of the International Clearance email f highlighted the relevant part.
The Second player in this game is Donald Ndoj who you haven't sent any proof of IC for.
The Match will be awarded to Westminster & Kensington
This charge also come with a fine inline with the fines tariff = Playing an Ineligible Player 18 M £100
I have showed you some lenience being a new club and it being a first offence. I must point out I have decided to issue the fine for only one player for each offence, rather than two, so although £200 seems excessive, it could have been £400.
I have also shown some compassion with the points deduction, We normally take off the points for the game and then an additional 3 points for each ineligible player as per the handbook, however again as per my reference to this being a first offence and you being a new club, I have only taken off the points you earned from the game.
Now of course you can appeal this sanction. To do this you must submit an appeal in writing within 7 days of this email to myself and submit a £25 appeal fee to the leagues bank account. There would then be a date arranged for an in-person appeal meeting with the discipline committee.
The committee could deem my sanction to harsh, they could agree with it or they could decide i was to lenient.
Also I have attached an email screenshot from the County FA who agree with my point regarding playing the players who were awaiting International Clearance.
Regards
Antony Cox
