AFC Kempston Rovers  0    Boston Town  1

Saturday, 31 March 2012

Boston came out on top in this meeting of two out of form sides.

Their victory was their first in eight games, and condemned the Walnut Boys to a fourth consecutive defeat.

Phil Draycott went close for the Walnut Boys early on.

The decisive goal arrived from the penalty spot after 21 minutes, and it marked a milestone for scorer Gary Bull - it was the veteran front man's 200th goal in Boston colours! Paul Jones was fouled by Craig Grieve for the spot kick.

Bull clipped the crossbar with a half volley while Drew Phillips, Draycott and Danny Watson missed chances to get Kempston back in the game.

Kempston: Martin Conway, Craig Grieve, Jordan Jarrold, Sam Brown, Mike Cox, Callum Mould (Ash Farmer), Phil Draycott, Sam Macrae, Cameron Clark, Danny Watson, Drew Phillips (Ryan Smith).

Boston: Chris Wright, Kieran Rose, Sam Kirton, Bradie Blankly, Michael Wood, Lewis Brooks, Lori Borbely, Paul Jones (Tom Ruck), Gary Bull (Nick Brown), Jammal Shahin, Mark Foster.
