A strong first half display lifted Spencer to second place in the Premier Division. Adam Baptist gave the Millers the lead after six minutes, and they went further ahead twenty minutes in through defender Dan Chilton. Two minutes before the break Darren Frost added a third for Steve Jelley's side. Desborough raised their game after the interval and Greig McIlwain reduced the arrears after 57 minutes. Three minutes later Frost's 17th goal of the season sealed the Millers' double with recent recruit Michael Byrne opening his Ar Tarn goal account with a 68th minute consolation.
