Deeping Rangers  3    Holbeach United  1

Tuesday, 06 December 2005

Deeping claimed only their second win in fourteen outings to put six points between themselves and the relegation places. Recent signing Jamie Smith opened the scoring ten minutes in with a great strike and Deeping sealed a double with two goals early in the second half. Lee Ellison slotted home a 50th minute spot kick after Aaron Last was felled in the box with Carl Griffiths making it three six minutes later, beating Kevin Cross at the near post after good work by Lovas Laszlo and Last. Holbeach's Danny Cairns scored his side's 78th minute consolation with a shot through a crowd of players.
