This Abbey Lawn success gave the Lankies a double over their hosts.

The Wakes drew first blood through Seb Hood who netted direct from a free kick ten minutes in.

Jory Mann squared the contest four minutes past the half hour with a penalty awarded for a push by Jason Kilbride on Ryan Kalla at a corner and then gave the visitors the lead on the stroke of half time curling his corner straight in despite the efforts of home keeper Matt Gilson to keep the ball out.

Rushden & Higham went further ahead through Ben Lord's long range strike after 63 minutes.

Bourne responded with a 65th minute spot kick from Kilbride, but the Lankies held their advantage until the final whistle.
