Coleshill Town 1 Blackstones 2
Saturday, 22 December 2007
After two wasted trips to the West Midlands their third visit proved rewarding for Stones as two Dan Cotton spot kicks kept them on the Wembley trail.
Cotton's first penalty, awarded for a foul on Phil Stebbing gave Blackstones the lead after 16 minutes, and Ross Watson and Stebbing wentclose to adding to the lead. Coleshill levelled a minute before the break through Josh McPherson who fired home from 20 yards from a Brian Gray pass .
When the home side had Ryan Scott dismissed Stones had the initiative but with extra time on the cards a second penalty was awarded two minutes into stoppage time, again for a foul on Stebbing, and Cotton held his nerve to take his side into the last 32.
Blackstones: Ian Flavell, Robbie Blowers, Trevor Smith (Andy Boome), Paul Sheehan, Richard Jones, Ross Nichols, Dan Cotton, Luke Kennedy, Phil Stebbing, Ross Watson, Kevin Ainslie.
