Two first half goals gave the Saints all three points at Outgang Road.

Conor Washington opened the scoring after 36 minutes, finding space in the box to fire home and the advantage was doubled four minutes later by Ricky Dear, who netted at the near post after good work by Ozie Foster and Washington.

Good saves by Deeping keeper Lea Jordan kept his side in the game.

Mitch Griffiths replied for Rangers after 65 minutes, scoring with a free kick which squirmed through St Ives keeper Rob Mackney's grasp.
