St Neots Town  3    Rothwell Corinthians  1

Saturday, 24 October 2009

Leaders St Neots produced a dominant performance to halt Corinths' mini revival.

It took 38 minutes for Robert Hughes to make the breakthrough for the Saints, taking a return pass from Tony Scully and sending a low shot out of reach of Paul McKay in the Corinths goal.

Paul Garrett doubled the home advantage direct from a free kick after 57 minutes with Josh Sozzo adding a 66th minute third from close range after Michael Hyem's effort rebounded from the angle of post and bar.

Andy White scored a Corinths consolation, lobbing the ball over Luke McShane twelve minutes from the end.

Matt Kenneford twice went close to adding to the home tally late on, striking the crossbar and also bringing the save of the match from McKay,
