Marston Saints 2 Oakley 2

Marston: Kane Adams, John Hudson
Oakley: James Keeble, Sam Grays
Marston had 2 great chances in the opening minutes of the game but failed to hit the target with either of them. Oakley made them pay for this after 10 mins when a slick move saw James Keeble put them 1 up with a fine half volley from the edge of the box. Marston equalised midway through the half when Kane Adams fired home a thunderbolt freekick from 25 yards .5 mins before halftime some slack Marston defending was punished when Oakley restored their lead with Sam Grays neat near post header.
It took a John Hudson penalty in the 65 min to get Marston back on level terms after Anthony Simpson was brought down when through on goal. The closing stages of the game saw both teams have chances with Craig Greenough pulling off one outstanding reflex save in the Marston goal. Neither side could find that winning goal and a draw was a fair result in what was a hard fought entertaining game of football.
