Buckingham Town 1 Huntingdon Town 1
Saturday, 20 October 2007
Buckingham's first home league game of the season saw them denied a win by a late headed leveller from Huntingdon defender Mark Burrows.
Joel McCormick, who hit a hat trick in the earlier Jubilee Park meeting, gave Buckingham the lead five minutes in after good work by Reuben Max-Grant and the Robins went on to have the better of the first half. It was a different story after the break as Huntingdon piled on the pressure. A foul on Alyou Coaney saw the visitors awarded a spot kick but Josh McAdoo's penalty save from Chris Caswell looked set to secure the points for the Robins until Burrows' late intervention from the resulting corner on 86 minutes.
