The Romans returned to winning ways with this spectacular demolition of Thrapston at Alfred Street.

Jake Gillingwater's 16th minute Irchester opener was cancelled out by a Cavell Jarvis reply after 25 minutes.

Within a minute Daryl Lawman had regained the lead for the Romans.

Further goals from Danny Rogers on 33 minutes and Stuart Reid two minutes before the break built a winning lead for Irchester.

Skipper Rogers went on to complete his hat trick with further goals after 60 and 62 minutes.

Mike Houghton scored a Thrapston consolation a quarter of an hour from time.
