Saturday, 18 August 2012

There was a losing start in the Premier Division for promoted Huntingdon.

The Division One chances failed to make the most of their chances and paid the penalty.

Jamie Blackwell missed a good opening for Huntingdon and Joe Jordan was denied an opening goal by the post.

Co-manager Ian Dunn scored the vital goal for the Poachers after twenty minutes, netting from close range.

Blackwell and Stuart Easson went close to levelling after the interval and home keeper Michael Emery distinguished himself with a couple of decent saves.

Late on Tom Ruck squandered a chance to extend Boston's margin.
