Buckingham's first home league game at Manor Fields ended in disappointment as visitors raunds kicked off the campaign with a three point return.

Nick Harrison's second minute goal gave the Shopmates a great start.

Buckingham came back to enjoy the bulk of first half possession but the visitors posed the greater threat in front of goal.

The outcome remained in the balance until the closing stages of the game though.

Two goals from new signings wrapped up the points for Raunds with ex-Ringstead man Alex Wills netting on 85 minutes after a quick counter attack, followed by ex-Doughboy Charlie Bardell with a header two minutes from time.
