Kings Lynn Town  1    Desborough Town  1

Saturday, 21 April 2012

Lynn's title hopes suffered a major setback as Desborough became only the third team to leave The Walks with any reward this season.

Jason Turner was closest to breaking the first half deadlock but his header was cleared off the line by Ryan Morgan.

Jason Turner made the breakthrough for the league leaders after 50 minutes, applying a back heel to turn in a Kieran Davies corner.

Substitute Rob Hughes struck the foot of the post for Lynn, but Morgan was unlucky for Desborough as his goalline clearance was blocked on the line by Jack Defty.

Tom Mills levelled for Desborough after 70 minutes, firing into the top corner after his free kick came back off the defensive wall.

Jamie Thurlbourne almost won it for the Linnets late on with a free kick against the bar.
