A gritty display by Deeping earned them the points at Occupation Road.

Michael Byrne went close to giving S&L the lead on the half hour.

Matt Heron's 33rd minute close range goal proved decisive as Rangers took the points.

David Burton-Jones had a shot cleared off the line for Deeping after the interval.

They had to survive heavy second half pressure down the slope from the Foundrymen but held on to their lead.
